Mazhar Hussain Thathal Chairman GTEC Pakistan , Meets Switzerland Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Georg Steiner to Discuss Enhanced Trade Cooperation Between Pakistan and Switzerland

On June 23, 2025, Mr. Mazhar Thathal, Chairman and CEO of Global Trade Expo Centre (GTEC) Pakistan, met with H.E. Georg Steiner, Ambassador of Switzerland to Pakistan, at the Swiss Embassy in Islamabad. The meeting, attended by a distinguished trade delegation from Pakistan, focused on strengthening bilateral trade relations and exploring new avenues of economic collaboration between the two countries.

Discussions highlighted key sectors including surgical instruments, IT, leather goods, food processing, fashion, and manufacturing. Ambassador Steiner appreciated GTEC’s ongoing efforts to promote international trade and emphasized the importance of initiatives that support deeper business-to-business engagement between Pakistani and European enterprises.

Also present was Mr. Liaqat Ali Thathal, Director of International Trade and Relations at GTEC, who shared upcoming initiatives aimed at fostering closer trade ties and facilitating mutual market access.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advancing collaborative trade missions, exhibitions, and networking platforms to further economic cooperation between Switzerland and Pakistan
